Summary

Finally the end of the week. A tiring week I must comment. Just complete the one and only Chem SPA Skill A. Phew...luckily I studied the mock assessment.

Went to the Omni Theatre with G on Wed. It was fun...I mean the Science Centre. The movie screening at Omni was rather interesting, except that I dozed of halfway. Me and G explored the Science centre after that. The way we walked around and played with stuff, its as if we were some primary school kids that have never been to the place. I like the head-popping-out-of-table that I tried with and the Shadow Capturing dark space that me and G went to. The place was so dark that it was kind of scary. On our way back, there was a super duper chialat traffic jam. Heard how the bus driver complained. Waved to a Malay guy on another KCPS school bus. Saw how the firemen put out the fire of a buring bin. Reached home at 8pm.

Missed Science Council because of the trip. Missed the school play too. So sad. Didn't learn much during the trip-except for the wonderful lecture given by the Science Centre and RSAF people. No doubt that I loved planes and soaring in the sky, I think its rather impossible that I would ever join an uniformed group, esp. RSAF. 10 female pilots so far...some roses among the thorns. Its cool to be one of those roses, but its definitely tough. I don't think I'm that fit afterall...

But anyway, my future is still an unknown. And I still have lots of time to decide and find out. No hurry.

New Discovery

Today...a normal school day...with PE and Chem S. Luckily didn't have to run a lot. I ran with YF during warm up which made us realise that after being sick for so long and after a somewhat long good dose of medicine, it really isn't wise to run. Next week is mock NAPFA...so sian...I don't want to be in the S group, but my stupid arm always fail me.

Reached home and happened to stumble upon HER blog. Read one of the archives and saw her post something that seemingly concerned me (as I and another friend interpreted). I was rather perturbed over that...I hate people who try to or talk behind people's back. It doesn't work for me. If there's anything that isn't satisfying, I would rather the person thrash everything out. Anyway, I was rather surprised by HER comment. Comparing her real attitude and her words, I can't help but think that she is a master of hypocrisy. What a total disappointment.

SPArring

Today was a SPA-rry day...with the mock Bio and the real Physics one...Now that they are finally over, I can at last heave a small sigh of relief, but I've got a upcoming maths test on Wed and another good dose of Chem SPA on Fri. How tiring! (But the Bio one really sound so illogical to me!)

I still recall what KH said to me during CNY. He said that I should learn to enjoy the process, and perhaps 10 years down the road, I will be hoping for the schooling days to return. On 2nd thoughts, what he said does make sense. But on 1st thought, anyone in the right sense of mind wouldn't agree with him. 10 years down the road, I will probably miss the schooling days alright, and I will probably remember that studying wasn't easy. But the intensity of the sufferings, the tiredness...I will probably never be able to have a taste of it anymore.

So much so for SPA and school life...Will catch some beauty sleep before I call it a day...

Running

Yesterday was roadrun. My 2nd roadrun...Though wasn't really feeing very well, but I still ran, for the sake of the nameless certificate.

Heard some comments from the Year 1s about how unfair it was combining them and the Year 2s for the JC category...felt that their comments were rather invalid. They should have known better...

Roadrun wasn't just about running. Its about running with meaning, with determination and perserverance. Its not just about winning...there's nothing to win except to win yourself. Completing the race wasn't that difficult, but its the journey that makes the roadrun meaningful.

I have accomplished the goal I set for myself. Though I didn't come in as the top runners for both years, I have gotten my complete set of certificates. I'm contented.

The Ending of the Beginning - New Perspective

I went to the closing ceremony for my attachment on Thurs. I guess this finally concluded my 4-week attachment in SIMTech.

Looking back, the 4 weeks were really enjoyable and unforgettable. It began with lots of anticipation, reluctance, uncertainties, fear...all the unknowns. Alas it ended, but surprisingly, I really couldn't bear for the attachment to end. The colleagues(Ban Jiao Shi, Speedy Spider, You Ming, Lao Liu, N Zhang, Ma Bin, Cindy Auntie, Du Xian), the workplace(NTU, Kikuze Room, LL's office, staff lounge), the food(of Canteen A), the jokes...they have become a part of me over the 4 weeks.

Throughout the 4 weeks, everyday was the same...meeting Zijuan at 0740, queing for today newspaper, taking the MRT to Boon Lay and then 179, reaching the SIMTech office at 0900...it was all routine work. We didn't do much though, surfing the net, doing our research work, working on our Couleurs de Harmonie poster...but it was really fun! The respect we had, the freedom we received...never before.

It was heart-contenting to see our poster being displayed at the foyer once again. I really wouldn't bringing it home...but I had one already. And I guess, the closing ceremony would really be the last time we see Dr Allan Zhang and Ma Bin. Anyway, the attachment shall be a part of my memory...never to be forgotten.
